The Alpha Course

If you want a no-holds-barred, open and honest discussion, you can bring all the questions and things that annoy you about anything to do with Christianity or religion to Alpha. You ask it, listen to what has got to be said and then make a decision. If you never ask the questions you’ll never get any answers, and if you never give it a go you’ll never know whether it was right or wrong, good or bad.

The Alpha course is designed primarily for people who aren’t churchgoers. People attend for a wide variety of reasons – some want to investigate whether God exists, others may have attended church occasionally but feel they have never really understood the basics of the Christian faith.

The course is based around small groups of up to 12 people. We begin with a meal together – a chance to get to know others in the group.

Each week, the talk looks at a different aspect of the Christian faith, followed by a discussion in small groups.

There is no charge for attending the Alpha course.

New Course Starting Soon!

The next Alpha Course is due to start on Sunday 16th October 2011, 6.30pm. We will run the course for 7 weeks on Sunday evenings from 6.30pm-8pm each week.

Come to our launch evening in Beanscene on Tuesday 11th October at 8pm for an informal introduction to the Alpha course and a chance to meet the Alpha team.
